Who we are

ContainerX (containerx.ge) is an online service for tracking shipping containers and checking vehicles by VIN. Contact: [email protected].

What data we collect

Account data: when you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your name, email address and a unique account identifier from that provider. We do not receive your Google or Apple password. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email", we receive an Apple relay address. If you register with email and password, we store your email, the name you enter and your password only as a secure one-way hash (we cannot read it).

Service data: the container numbers and VIN codes you search or buy monitoring/reports for, your orders, payment status and the reports generated for you.

Payment data: card payments are processed by Bank of Georgia on its own payment page. We never see or store your card number; we only receive the payment status and order amount.

Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages requested, kept in server logs for security and abuse prevention.

How we use your data

To provide the service you request (tracking, VIN checks, reports), to keep your containers and reports in your account, to process payments and refunds, to prevent abuse and fraud, and to answer your support requests. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

Service providers we share data with

Only the minimum needed to deliver the service: Bank of Georgia (payments); ShipsGo (container number, to obtain tracking data); vehicle-history data providers (VIN only); Anthropic (the content of a vehicle-history report, without your personal data, to generate the AI summary); US government databases NHTSA and EPA (vehicle make/model/year for free checks); Google and Apple (sign-in); Mailgun (sending password-reset and confirmation emails); Cloudflare and Hetzner (hosting and network security).

Cookies

We use only essential cookies: one that keeps you signed in (up to 60 days) and short-lived security cookies during sign-in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep data

Account data is kept while your account exists. Orders and payment records are kept as long as required by accounting and tax law. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security purposes.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to delete your account, by writing to [email protected]. Deleting the account removes your saved containers and reports; payment records may be kept where the law requires it.
